I started tutoring in high school through the Math Club, and have tutored at the HCC campuses of Southshore, Brandon, and Plant City; as well as tutoring for USF and Knowledge Points. I have an amazing wife Amanda and a beautiful daughter Elsie. I am a devout Christian, and I believe working hard to help students achieve their goals is a command (1 Cor. 10:31, Col. 3:23), not just a suggestion.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I teach all the required standards within the Common Core State Standards. They have algebra (both 1 & 2) broken down into a few categories, and I am comfortable with all of them.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

Algebra II and College Algebra are fairly similar, and I teach both more often that almost any subject (next to Geometry perhaps). I have been teaching this subject for over five years now, and have the topics down to a science. There is a clean progression from topic to topic when Algebra II is taught correctly, and with my experience the class can be made to be enjoyable and fully understandable.
Calculus,

Calculus

I took Calculus 2 and 3 my freshman year of college, and have since put them to practice in tutoring locations such as the Brandon HCC and the University of South Florida. I have a copy of a text which encompasses all three of the Calculus classes- differential, integral, and multi-variable. I also stay up to date on topics in Calculus using websites.
Geometry,

Geometry

I teach all the required subjects within the Common Core State Standards. They have Geometry broken down into a few categories, and I am comfortable with all of them.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

In each of the sub-fields of Pre-Calculus (Conic Sections, Sequences and Series, Probability and Combinatorics, Complex Numbers, Hyperbolic Functions, and limits) I have had experience tutoring over the last 7 years. I have actively tutored this field of Mathematics for about 4 years. In the last 3 years, I have tutored this field in addition to my classes in an after school tutoring program.
SAT Math,

SAT Math

Guaranteed to get at least half the difference from your last score in improvement (for example, a 700 into (at least) a 750 or a 600 into (at least) a 700). I've been working with students wanting to increase their Math SAT score for years now, and I have a proven method that gets results. As a bonus, current students can have free access to my online course (a $50 value) as part of our process.

Tutoring for 10 years, including Trig (and other related subjects). Trig really does come down to "knowing the tricks" as there are a lot of things to learn in a short amount of time. I teach such subjects in Trigonometry as (but not limited to): --Ratios and Similarity --Trigonometric Functions and their Reciprocals --Degrees and Radians --The Unit Circle --Graphing Trigonometric Functions --Trigonometric Identities --Parametric and Polar Equations --Conic Sections

Martial Arts

Tang Soo Do is the father of Tae Kwon Do, a Korean martial art balancing upper and lower body strikes and blocks. It is the style Chuck Norris uses! When we have our first lesson, we can talk about what your goals are and what you would like to achieve. We can go over Just self defense techniques for real life scenarios. We can go over just how Tang Soo Do compares with other styles of martial arts like BJJ and MMA. We can just learn to properly use weapons like the practical bo staff to the fun nunchukas. Traditionally though, the goal is to teach all of these things and more to take you from a white belt to a black belt! I have trained under Master Solomon, 7th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and black belts in several other styles also. He trained under someone who trained under Chuck Norris. Our school within Tang Soo Do is called Mu Do Kwan

Very helpful!

Kyle made concepts simple for my son who is challenged by math. I would recommend him. My son was tutored by Kyle in precalculus. Kyle also responded to my messages quickly and confirmed the tutoring time on the day of the session.

GREAT TUTOR

Kyle was a great tutor. I was very skeptical when my Mom set this up. But after having spent an hour with him teaching me about functions, inverse functions, one-to-one and domain and range graphing, I was pleasantly surprised. He really helped me understand it. Great way of teaching, made it fun.

Fantastic!

Kyle has been fantastic! He is calm and patient. When I ask questions I should already know, or I am repeating he doesn't get frustrated. He has been the best tutor to work with.

Angela, 4 lessons with Kyle

Great first lesson!

My son said he learned a lot in his first lesson. Hoping this will help him do well on his final exam.

Great Math Tutor

Kyle is a great math teacher. We hired him for both SAT prep and for regular math lessons for about two years, and he was excellent for both. Very easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable. He also nailed the expected window of test results he provided, so he knows what he is doing! I couldn't recommend him more.
