I have a lifetime of experience in education, athletics and life skills. I have been around education from the day I was born. My father was a teacher, administrator, coach and athletic director. My father was a great role model in how to deal with kids/people. He was more than just an educator to so many people in and outside of our community. Many people tell me that when they see me, they see my dad, what a compliment!!

I have been working with kids all of my life. I started coaching when I was 18 years old. I ran a college prep program for financially disadvantaged kids for five years after college and have over 18 years of teaching experience. Through my work experiences and my role as a father/husband, I have always had a few things that I demand; hard work, taking responsibility for your actions and living life with integrity.

I have a vast experience in working with kids/people of many backgrounds and levels. I truly enjoy helping people learn. One of the best feelings is when you see the expression on someone's face when they have that "ah-ha" moment of understanding a lesson.

I can be flexible with my hours and our meeting place.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alma College with a sociology major and a natural science minor. I also have a masters in middle school science. I hold a lifetime certificate in Physical Science from Texas (I taught 2 years in Harlingen, TX) and Michigan, highly certified in sociology and science (grades 6-12, including biology, chemistry, earth science, physical science. etc.)

I have over 25 years of coaching experience in various sports. I was a four year letter winner at Alma College in both football and baseball and lettered my first year in swimming as a senior. I have coached baseball, softball, football, boys/girls basketball and am currently a varsity golf and wrestling coach.

I feel that I am quite "in tune" with kids and what they go through at school. While I understand the demands of education, I also understand that situ
