I am an elementary school PE teacher that formerly taught in the classroom. I love teaching but also notice the demand it puts on students, that is why I began teaching PE to help students relieve the stresses of the classroom and find new ways to incorporate classroom skills in other ways than just paper and pencil.
Overall my teaching style is to help students learn in a way that is best for them. There are all different types of learners and we need to identify what helps us learn as an individual. My goal is to help students find that. Learning should be fun and challenging. I also want my students to understand how to step up to the challenge rather than stress about and not give up.

Math has many different ways to find the same answer. Finding the strategy just that best fits an individual is what makes math more enjoyable. Building confidence and being prepared to understand the skills is how I like to teach math.

Reading and writing were always a challenge for me as a student mainly because it didn’t keep my attention. Now this works to my advantage because I understand how people in my shoes feel about it. Strategies and stamina are what make us better readers and that is how I teach students to improve in both reading and writing.

I love all sports, but soccer is the top of my list. I have over 14 years of experience coaching soccer on the competitor level, and have played my entire life.
Growing up I played all sports and I think it is important or kids get and learn the rules and skills of lifelong sports to develop social, psychological, and emotional skills.
Along with sports regular fitness is most important for todays youth. Proper exercise and eating habits are essential not only for a healthy life, but for normal daily function.

Learning should be fun and students need to learn from many people over their lives to learn about themselves. I provide learning in new and different ways and would like to share them with you.
