My passion is helping students develop critical thinking skills and teaching them how to learn independently. I offer tutoring services in a wide variety of fields, such as: general math and science, English, literature and the humanities, as well as more technical fields like logic and college level Philosophy.

My education was primarily in analytic philosophy, and I hold an M.A., B.A. and A.A. in Philosophy. I've also done additional coursework in Science Education; as such, I can help with nearly any subject K-12, and many subjects at the college level! I taught for several years as an adjunct professor at Oklahoma State University. Currently, I work as a credentialed substitute teacher in central Washington with all grades, and all subjects, as I work towards further credentials in education.

Working mostly in rural and homeschooling communities, I have many years of experience improving writing and reading comprehension among students of all ages and levels who have been left behind by the educational system. Need to learn how to write a professional, academic paper? I can help! Need someone to proofread your college homework and help you hone your abilities? Count me in! Do you have writers block, and need help getting started on an assignment? I can even help with that! I have a very broad skillset, and can apply my skills and experience to most subjects.

In graduate school, I took advanced courses in not only logic, but mathematical logic; now, I write professionally on applied statistics and probability theory. I can confidently help you understand, and not just memorize, math up through college algebra! The same goes for science: I studied the history and philosophy of science in graduate school, and am here to elevate your understanding of science from mere memorization to real comprehension.
