Hi! I'm Matt. I have a BFA in Theater from New York University and have been an acting and theater teacher in Los Angeles for three years. I'm a big fan of learning new things and think all educational experiences should be and can be fun! In addition to helping my friend's kids with homework, I work part-time as a second grade math assistant at a local school, jumping in and teaching improv games for morning wake-up. As a writer and a director, I often choose literary material to direct and emulate and try to bring in high school or college classes to see the work and experience what they are learning in class in a different and unique way. Everyone views the world differently - so no one teaching style will work for all.

I'm a professional writer and work as a proofreader and script consultant, requiring not only knowledge of spelling, grammar, and syntax, but story structure and history.

I'm also a professional director and actor and have been teaching theater (practice and history) for several years.
