I run a tutoring program at an elementary school in Gibson City, but unfortunately not all students that need assistance can get into it. I would like to expand my services by doing private tutoring sessions for those in need of my services. I can travel up to 35 miles of the 60952 zip code.

I love being a tutor because I truly believe that our children are our future and we need to invest in them. If I can help a child ace that test, become more organize, or even give them more self confidence I have done a fabulous job. I specialize in elementary students, grades 3 through 5, but would tutor up to grade 8. I could probably tutor a high school age child depending on what they need.

Reading and vocabulary work comes naturally to me. English was my favorite subject in high school and I actually enjoyed writing papers throughout my college career. I'm always striving to expand my own vocabulary and helping a young one do the same.

Elementary education, particularly grades three through five, are what I have the most experience with. I've tutored this age in the public school system for three years and I now run the program that I started tutoring in. I'm confident that I could tutor someone older without problem. I could also tutor someone younger depending on their attention span.
