Phenomenal Tutor!

Kate is a phenomenal tutor! She is extremely knowledgeable and actually knows what she's talking about! I had a tutor in college (different subject), and it was a HORRIBLE experience. It never made me want a tutor again. I really wish I would have found Kate while in nursing school though, I think I would have aced my tests with the help of her. I didn't pass my NCLEX the first time. Someone recommended getting a tutor so I did some research. Found Kate on Wyzant, I read the reviews and thought she would be perfect and it turned out I was right. Not ONCE, did she make me feel stupid if I didn't know an answer to a question. She went OVER AND BEYOND to help you out in any way she can. I don't think we ever ran into a scheduling problem. She is also like your own personal cheerleader. I didn't have the best confidence going into this test, but she kept on encouraging me and I believe that's what people need to be successful. So with that being said, I would recommend her to anyone. oh, I almost forgot to mention, I PASSED the second time. Thank you so much Kate, for everything. :)

Kate went over bi-polar and depression for Mental Health nursing. She explained the material in a clear, concise manner. She was able to explain rationale when dealing with bi-polar and depressed patients.

Great tutor if you can pin down dates

I wanted a tutor to help me with my last semester of nursing school and help with NCLEX prep. I had two sessions with Kate and they were awesome. She helped me think about the different body systems and their implications with diseases instead of just memorizing the right answers. Kate was punctual and very professional. She recommended a NCLEX book for my boards. She was just what I needed. The only problem I had is that Kate was hard to pin down for appointments and did not communicate with me in a timely manner. After our second session, she told me she was going to be away on two separate occasions and I forgot to write down the dates. I take responsibility for that. Our last session was cut in half because of a personal emergency on March 22nd. That was our last session. I tried texting her on March 25th and April 3rd several times and emailing her on this website. I received no response I haven't heard from her in over a month and a half. Kate promised to get me some notes and other materials that never materialized. She works full time and tutors several people. I think she bit off more than she could handle. The two sessions we had, she helped me think differently I only wish that we could have continued. My only advice to you is if you want to go with Kate, pin down dates and times in advance for more than one session. Good luck.

In the unusual event that I am unable to be reached, my students receive advance notice with the opportunity to reschedule lessons and plan for upcoming exams. During this time, my profile also becomes hidden from the website in order to prevent new students from contacting me and to remind current students that I am unavailable. Additionally, I encourage students to check their junk mail folder for attachments that may be sent in addition to standard lesson reviews, as I am unable to receive from or send to e-mail addresses outside of the WyzAnt system. While not every student/tutor match is the right fit, my objective is always to ensure that my students feel comfortable and have their needs met, and I am happy to make any accommodations possible to help my students achieve and surpass their academic and personal goals.

I used Kate to help with NCLEX preparation. I had taken the test twice and was not successful. A friend recommended Kate and I passed my exam in 120 questions. She is very patient and kind and only has the students best interest at heart. Students need to be patient and understand that studying can be daunting and the amount of work you put in will result in success if you listen to Kate. Her strategies and knowledge will help students achieve success!
