My name is Torsten. I was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, and lived there for over 3o years. I always enjoyed tutoring/coaching. For example, I was a Basketball coach for over 15 years in one of Germany's biggest sports clubs, Hamburger SV. I coached young kids, aging hobbyists, and aspiring young guns with great passion. In 2011, I moved to NYC and co-founded a retail store in the Lower East Side. I have lived in Northern Virginia since Covid closed our doors in 2020. In the spring of '23, I started teaching German to Soldiers and Diplomats who would soon be deployed to a German-speaking country. In most cases, this means that we create a 30-week immersion for the students, so they can freely speak business German by the time their deployment starts. In addition, I started teaching 7th graders German this summer at a German school in Maryland. I'm a proud dad of three boys. Some say I go fishing too much, but I say I'm doing it for the fresh air and I don't even catch any fish.
