Hi! I'm Ryan. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University in 2010 and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in 2012. I've worked in a variety of clinical settings across the U.S. from DC to NYC to Northern California. Learning has always been a passion of mine and I continue to focus on lifelong learning (recently working on the piano, Japanese, and Neuroscience!). As a student, I've always appreciated teachers that were passionate about their subjects; the more inspiring the teacher the more I enjoyed and thrived in the subject. As a clinician, I've had rotating or shadowing graduate and undergraduate students and have found it really satisfying to share what I know in a casual and straightforward way. I also believe successful learning requires contextualizing the material in a way that is memorable for the student, so exploring the individual student's interests and areas of focus/weakness as a baseline is extremely valuable.
I've also become certified to teach English as a Foreign Language in 2023. My interactions with patients whose primary language wasn't English have always been a challenge with great reward, and that has inspired me to work with ESL students, particularly those that are interested in studying or working in the medical field.
If you're looking for help in Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, Biology, or with ESL then let's get started! I'm looking forward to working with you.
