Piano, ballet, sewing, and crocheting are all difficult art forms to learn. They can be very frustrating for the student at times. I understand this better than anyone since I have been through this same process myself. I make sure I never forget the difficulties of learning to master my craft. This is what makes me different. I never lose sight of my own trials with the either of these art forms, which enables me to train my students in a more nurturing way. Patience is key! I have a great...

I understand this better than anyone since I have been through this same process myself. I make sure I never forget the difficulties of learning to master my craft. This is what makes me different. I never lose sight of my own trials with the either of these art forms, which enables me to train my students in a more nurturing way. Patience is key! I have a great amount of patience. Encouragement! Students need to feel encouraged even when they are having a bad lesson day. It is important to make them understand that one bad day does not equal failure, but equals an opportunity to learn a lesson. It's an opportunity to grow. I want to know that every student leaves their lesson with their self-esteem intact. Feeling that they can accomplish the great task at hand. Learning to be the very best artist they can be.

I received my bachelor's in music. I have been teaching piano for 20 years now. I have taught hundreds of beginners and lead them to advance stages of performance. I have traveled the journey of learning this great instrument with my students from their early years all the way through adulthood. I love teaching the babies most of all because they are so pliable and fun to teach. Watching my students thrive is what motivates me to continue teaching. Piano is the hardest instrument to learn to play. It is important to have a patient teacher at your side to carry you through the tough times. I am a strict but fun teacher who likes to laugh a lot. There is no reason why piano lessons can't be fun in the process.

I have been dancing since I was conceived. I started teaching when I was ten years old. My teaching career began with teaching the neighborhood kids to dance and putting on shows on the side porch of my grandmother's house. My professional teaching career began at the age of 19, where I had to wrangle 20-25 2-5-year-olds in an hour ballet/tap combo class. I have been tea

I started crocheting at the age of seven. My aunt taught me a few stitches and I soared from there. I currently have a baby apparel line I sell online. I like crocheting for babies because it is quick and easy. I discovered cross-stitching in my twenties. Cross-stitching is a great hobby you can do to keep your mind and hands busy when you have nothing else to do but watch television. It keeps your mind engaged in a creative way without bogging you down with complicated task. It is a fun and easy to pass the time while being creative.

Piano

I taught myself to play the piano when I was seven years old. I received an organ, today we would call it a digital piano, and I sat for hours learning every song in the book that came with it. I have always had a love for the piano. I think it is the most beautiful and amazing instrument ever made. It is also the most difficult to learn. In high school, I had friends teach me a song or two, but I did not take formal lessons until I was twenty-four. I loved playing so much I changed my major, about a month before I entered college, from psychology and dance to music and dance. I received my bachelor's in music and began teaching piano when a fellow student decided to transfer to another college out of the area and needed someone to take over her piano students. I took over her students in 1998 and never looked back. I have been teaching piano ever since. I have taught independently and for a local music academy here in the city I live in.

I graduated from Hollywood High Performing Arts in 1989 and trained at Smaltzoff Ballet Academy for five years. My ballet teacher Yuri Smaltzoff is a Bolshoi legacy. I attended California State University where I majored in dance and music. I have spent the last 18 years of my life devoting myself to performance and teaching ballet and other dance styles to the youth of LA and Orange County.

Sewing

My mother sewed when I was growing up. At the age of nineteen, I decided I wanted to learn to sew. My aunt gave me her sewing machine and I headed to a department store and bought my first few yards of fabric and patterns. That was 25 years ago. I have been sewing ever since. I have sewn countless dresses and dance costumes. I have made bedding for babies and for adults. I love home decor projects like decorative pillows, curtains, and couch slipcovers. One of my favorite projects to make is pajama pants. They are quick and easy to make. They also make great gifts.
