I love history and enjoy literature and writing. My A.B. degree was about the equivalent of a masters in English.

I have had background checks done twice in the last 2-3 years in order to do the substituting I have done and am doing. If you need me to get another, I'll be glad to do one.

Grammar is important, and needs to come first. After grammar, teaching someone how to write with a good style, beyond the basics, would be only a part of what I can do. Writing is more than putting down what one knows. There is a technique to making it readable and interesting. Knowing how to read "Chicken Little" through Shakespeare makes reading more fun.

My first love is history and social studies, and my publication is in history. I have extensive knowledge of American and British history with good European history qualifications, and can be helpful in other areas of history as well.

I have taught and lectured in several subjects and have done substitute teaching for ages 9-18, even working as a physics lab instructor in college.
