Hello! My name is Adam and I am originally from Cleveland Heights, Ohio. I graduated third in my class from Benedictine High School back in 2013 and went on to receive my degree in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University in 2017. I just relocated to Houston in early June after spending a year overseas in Singapore for a work assignment.

During my time at Purdue, I tutored collegiate level Calculus and Chemistry within the College of Engineering. I primarily helped underclassmen with their entry level class (i.e. general chemistry I & II, calculus I, and the occasional entry level engineering courses). I've received only positive reviews from my employers and students due to my ability to deconstruct difficult concepts and explain them in a more comprehensible way. I think my unique talent, at least when it comes to tutoring, is that students find me relatable and hence easy to learn from. I am a very visual person and can make difficult concepts, such as integration for instance, easily understood with clever metaphors and pictures.

After graduating from Purdue, I had about 7 months until I started my current full-time position as an engineer with Emerson Automation Solutions. To fill this void between college graduation and entering the "real world", I decided to pursue my other passion and become a substitute teacher. Because my transcript was so readily available, I was able to fulfill all the requirements for a 1 Year Long Term Substitute (7-12) License in the fields of Integrated Mathematics (110094) and Physical Science/Chemistry (132150). Teaching in the greater Cleveland area was an incredible experience. Having the fresh subject knowledge combined with my young age made me well-positioned to have more impactful experiences in the classroom

Chemistry is my strongest field. I love it. So much so that I decided to major in it. Chemistry is not a hard subject, it's just taught poorly in my opinion. I am great at teaching abstract concepts by articulating them in an easily understood manner. In other

Chemistry is my strongest field. I love it. So much so that I decided to major in it. Chemistry is not a hard subject, it's just taught poorly in my opinion. I am great at teaching abstract concepts by articulating them in an easily understood manner. In other words, I remove all the technical jargon found in textbooks and explain the concept in regular layman's terms. From there, I can build the student's level of comprehension up to the point where they can read and fully understand the textbook on their own.

Excellent Tutor Lesson with Adam

Adam helped shed some light on difficult Calculus problems! Adam made himself available with very short notice and my daughter was able to take her Calc test the very next day with confidence! I set up this appointment for my daughter (high school senior) who was struggling, but didn't let me know until last minute. Thank you to Adam for saving the day! He's very patient and can communicate well, making sure the student understands. We highly recommend Adam!!

Knowledgeable and down to earth

We have tried quite a few chemistry tutors and this was the First chem tutor that my son said actually helped. My son also said that he was very down to earth and explained so he could understand! Thank you.
