I have been teaching special education for the past 21 years and have been tutoring for the last five years. My students have been very successful, and I can provide references upon request. Traditionally the students I work with require assistance with organization, time management and homework assistance. I am highly qualified in reading, basic math, written language and study skills. Currently I am teaching at the high school level although I tutor students from elementary to community college levels.

I am highly versed in phonics, whole language, and have a variety of methods to enhance reading fluency and comprehension skills. My Masters degree is in Literacy for special needs students and am very comfortable with students at all levels of literacy.

Basic and general math at the high school is what I have been teaching for the past 10 years as well as tutoring the same for community college students.

Last year I tutored a student in AP World History, this coming year we will be working on AP English.

Thank you for your time in reading this and if you believe I can help please feel free to contact me. I do teach full time during the school year and have three returning students so my calendar does fill quickly. I am happy to tutor your student during summer if they are interested in getting a head start on the school year.
