Public Speaking

Whether it was giving presentations in front of a classroom full of students, or walking away with a top prize in the regional FBLA public speaking competition, my history and experience with public speaking has been full of various situations in which to demonstrate my skills. Public speaking is something I am very comfortable at and have overcome my fear at doing, this has led me to see the journey in how to do so, and also allows me to teach others how to speak in front of groups with the same level of comfort found in speaking one on one. And it is this skill set which I am able to teach others the very skill I myself have learned in time through experience and classes.

Nutrition

As a nutritionist, I received my certification through Cornell University. I currently run programs focused on holistic health through general and individual nutrition advice. As an instructor, I lean on the scientific evidence for nutrition, rather than on fad diets and dietary gurus, so as to provide an evidence based approach so that we all may life healthier and happier lives.

Chess

I have taught chess for individuals, clubs, and teams over many years. A winner of the South Central PA regional chess tournament, chess plays a prominent role in my family and personal life. While I have taught and played with a wide range of experience among players, my advantage over the competition is in working with beginners and novices, and in being able to break down the complex nature of chess into something simple and exciting to understand.
