I offer a distinctive service: the personalized attention of a private tutor with the teaching expertise of an experienced college professor. My private tutoring clients are afforded a chemistry professor's direct personal attention and the highest quality private tutoring.

As a professor of chemistry, I help students overcome obstacles by mixing both traditional and innovative teaching methods. My approach is student-centered and flexible, focusing on promoting deep understanding, fostering excellence, building confidence, and developing problem-solving skills.

As a sought-after professor of college chemistry classes for non-majors, I know how to make complex scientific concepts understandable. My explanations are clear, simple, and easy-to-digest. I draw on examples from the real world to enliven concepts and make theories click.

My students thrive and break boundaries. The students I have helped have achieved great success, including by dramatically improving grades, winning national awards, publishing papers, pursuing careers in healthcare, and innovating at top research laboratories. For more than a decade, I have been beside students to help them achieve their most important goals.

As a woman in the sciences, I am enthusiastic about supporting all learners, especially those who are underrepresented in the field. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and include first-generation college students, English language learners, non-traditional students, and more.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy rooting for the Yankees, playing fantasy football, cooking (with the help of scientific principles--of course), and traveling. I have visited over 30 countries and appeared on the Food Network as a guest judge.

My goal is to help you succeed, and I gauge my success by your achievements. Let's work together to break through obstacles. Working with me, you will have a professor as your biggest supporter and greatest educational ally.

Chemistry

As a college professor, I am committed to using high-impact pedagogy and non-traditional methods to capture student interest, motivate students, and deepen their understanding of chemistry. I have experience teaching general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and biochemistry courses to both majors and non-majors. I also serve as a contributing author of a college chemistry book and have published peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals. Prior to becoming a college professor, I designed and constructed an apparatus used at a national laboratory for alternative energy research. My extensive teaching and laboratory experience can help you thrive, even when facing the most challenging curricula.
