I have been receiving 1:1 tutoring with Geraldine for four months to improve my business French skills, and I could not rate her higher. As a 24-year old with no prior French knowledge or disposition towards learning new languages, I was apprehensive about the seemingly insurmountable task ahead. However, from the onset Geraldine has proven to be patient, enthusiastic, supportive, and knowledgeable; as a native French speaker, she understands the language at a level you won't find with non-native speakers, and she is able to clearly convey difficult topics with clarity and ease. She is very flexible with her teaching style and has a range of multimedia resources to make her lessons fun, varied, and personalized. Geraldine always brings energy to the lessons and is patient when correcting errors, no matter how many times you make them! And despite her busy schedule, Geraldine is flexible to your schedule, easy to get in touch with, and always on time. Overall, my improvement in French in four months has been remarkable, and without Geraldine's guidance I am certain I would not be where I am today-- my highest recommendation goes to her and I am certain that you would be hard-pressed to find a better French teacher on this side of the Atlantic!

Over the past year, Geraldine has been helping me edit my college papers. She is always available (even when I send her my papers pretty last minute) and her edits are always thorough and helpful, regardless of the paper's topic. Additionally, I recently applied for a Master's program (Business School) and asked Geraldine to help with my application essays. Again, she helped me strengthen them to make me the strongest candidate possible.

Parfait!

Recently I returned to college after serving in the military and enrolled in French class as I had taken two years of French in high school and have strong personal and professional desire to learn a language of my choice. Once I fell behind in my 2nd semester French class I contacted a native French tutor who wasn’t able to help me to the level required. After extensively researching the available French tutors on WyzAnt I choose Geraldine and it was the best decision I have ever made a French student. Geraldine is a true professional tutor who is also a hard working genuine person. She caters to my level of French and learning style and has copious patience. I feel like I can ask Geraldine anything about French and the lessons aren’t work, but they are tough. Materials can be sent early to be reviewed in order for sessions prep and curriculum received for more general sessions. She is extremely intellectual, enthusiastic and flexible, and never makes you feel unintelligent. I don’t believe there is a better French Tutor out there and I am a better French student for choosing her.

Great tutor!

Geraldine is very patient and steady. She has been giving us lessons for a couple of months and my kids look forward to it every week. Although when we started we were not sure if Skype lessons would work, I am convinced that it works because of Geraldine. She is organized and plans the class ahead of time, and follows up with a recap and homework after each session. When we have requested changes in time she has been very accommodating. Great tutor!

Excellent Tutor

I am an adult student who is trying to juggle work, school, and kids, so learning another language became very difficult. I have to take 4 semesters of French as a requirement to graduate. I started my third semester of French and felt completely lost. I looked for a French tutor and found Geraldine; she really helped break down the grammar points and she is always prepared with fun exercises to reinforce the grammar, tenses etc. She is very patient and always easy to reach by email. She is highly recommended.
