Hi! My name is Haley! I just finished my first year teaching 6th grade History. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Faulkner University in May 2021, and while in college, I was a cheerleader! I will be getting married to my best friend, Dalton, in September, and we have a pet turtle whose name is Taco.

While I am a History teacher, I also love writing! I love trying to find new ways for my students to write in History class. I can also help with study skills (especially if you have test anxiety like me!) and other skills, such as resume’ writing.

I am a History teacher, and I try to have my students write as much as possible during class! I love trying to bring out their creativity! I was also in the honors English class while in college, and scored highly on ACT, Praxis, and edTPA in writing and English categories.

I struggle - y’all - struggle with taking tests. I have horrible test anxiety, yet I always end up doing well on tests. I have a few strategies that I use to help with rote memorization and to be more confident.

If you have any questions, please let me know! I have a 2 hour cancellation window, but I can be flexible on that. I am, however, only online tutoring. I’m currently tutoring as a way to make extra money to pay for a wedding, so I’m free all summer and would love to help you in any way that I can!
