My passion in life is to enable other to accomplish more than they otherwise could — either through my coaching or through computer apps that I write.

I enable speakers to give the best presentations of their life, especially how to make presentations and visualizations more effective. Specifically, I can
• review/revise slides and presentations that you create;
• assist you on the organization, the slides, and content to increase your effectiveness;
• review data visualizations to make your slides more persuasive; and,
• coach you to improve your delivery and slides on any presentation you make.
I will help you give the best presentations of your life!
I want to help you be the speaker that others watch and say "wow, I wish I could present like that."

I recently retired from Shell Oil after 40 years of providing programming, database design, and training. I developed courses on how to use Data Visualization and graphics to be more persuasive; my students rated me 4.73/5.00 on the course's effectiveness. I've been a Toastmaster since 1982. I remain a member because of the thrill in watching the improvement in speakers whom I'm coaching.

I've been using Excel since 1985. I've used VBA to automate three of my jobs. I reduced the time for one task from 3 weeks/month to 4 hours/month.

I have been coaching speakers since 1982.
I was Shell's preferred Presentations Coach for Executives and Staff in North America. I have coached three TEDx speakers. I can provide you a link to view their presentations if required. As a public speaker, I've won multiple contests for persuasive and motivational speeches, humorous speeches, coaching, dramatic reading, impromptu speaking, and tall tales.

I have developed and taught courses in Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Access, and PowerPoint. I developed and taught the Helix database programming platform and developed and produced the video training offered by Helix.

I've been using Excel since 1985, and I've been programming Excel VBA since the late 90s for Windows and for Mac. I specialize in coaching VBA. I developed an Introduction to VBA class used as a lunch & learn at companies I was at. I've used VBA to automate my three of my jobs (to where I was no longer needed for the job), including pivot tables and to build graphs-on-the-fly. I even created an automation language in Excel VBA to automate one of the jobs.
Microsoft PowerPoint,

I've been giving presentations and coaching others' with PowerPoint and Keynote for about 25 years. I've taught classes on how to make slides more persuasive and effective to more than 3500 people. I've written programs that automate PowerPoint to draw flowcharts. But I see my ability to help you give the best presentations of your life as stronger than my ability to remember a quirky key-code in PowerPoint.

Knowledgeable, Patient, and Kind!

Chuck is amazing at being patient and bringing clarity to a presentation. Without clarity you have no presentation! He is a blessing of a man. Very kind and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of speaking and presenting with Power Point.

MS Access and VBA

I have to say hands down the best of the 5 instructors I have used on this site. Chuck is now going to be my go-to guy. He is very knowledgeable and teaches well. He explains as he goes and makes sure you are getting the concepts. I cannot tell you how happy I am with my experience. He helped me resolve an issue I had been fighting for weeks in my MS Access DB. THANK YOU!!!!!

Excelent tutor

Chuck is very a patient and knowledgable tutor. I had limited time and he was able to help me with my assignment on a short notice. I highly recommend him if you are looking for someone to teach you. He not only helped me with the recommendations, but showed me how to change things in powerpoint that I can do now myself.

Excellent Database Design Engineer

Chuck was able to quickly synthesize database requirements and help me understand the how the ERD should look like. We went through various data scenarios to make sure all requirements were met. I now have a strong understanding of what I need to do to create the database on my own using SQL. Very helpful and highly recommend Chuck for answering any database questions.

Super responsive and knowledgable

Chuck responded to me last minute and set up a session the same evening when I was having issues formatting a PowerPoint presentation which had to be done for the next day. We worked through the issues and Chuck taught me some new aspects to PowerPoint, and also gave feedback on the presentation overall and how to make it more impactful. Having these conversations has a significant impact on my working world, thank you so much Chuck!

Great teacher!

Chuck is a great teacher! He was very prompt in setting up the lesson and helping me on short notice with an important project. He was quick to pick up my goals & great at directing and teaching the skills I needed in PowerPoint. Would definitely recommend!

A very good tutor. Very friendly and knows well how to code.

Chuck taught me how to loop through different ranges, troubleshoot and debug VBA code, use Excel IDE, copy and paste cells of my choosing and using code to filter.

In-person tutoring

I’m not interested in online tutorials for improving my PowerPoint skills. There are many online resources; YouTube videos and Microsoft tutorials that I can watch for free, Chuck provided in-person training and showed me some tips and tricks. He was knowledgeable. Thanks.
