I am a retired Special Education teacher who loves a challenge. I enjoy working with students who do not learn as well as others in a regular classroom. I am well aware that the Covid-19 pandemic has altered educational opportunities in a negative way. Schools have been disrupted and parents have found themselves in the role of teachers, assisting their children who may have been compelled to use online learning. I would like to work with those students.

I have tutored for a number of years since leaving a school setting. I have the experience and the ability to relate to frustrated students and their parents to help them regain firm educational footing.

Most of my years in school settings were spent in Elementary Resource Rooms. I met with special needs students, for whom I individualized one-on-one lessons to meet their particular needs.

English is my favorite subject! In my spare time I do writing and editing for small businesses and a couple of authors. I was part of a team that compiled and composed an ACT preparation manual. I'm a bit of a grammar geek.

I can help you, whatever the subject matter. In addition to assisting school children, I also work with adults who might be struggling with advanced education, and I have helped several adults prepare to pass the GED exam to earn high school diplomas. I believe I can help you succeed.
