Sometimes I feel like the dentist when people don't like English. Dentists have too many drills, boring preparation, a list of annoying things to fix, can make you feel self conscious and are not very popular.... What if I told you I didn't like grammar either...until I understood it is all logical. Once I understood the balance and logic in a sentence, the rules, even the dreaded diagramming, made sense. It is so much easier when you understand it and are freed from just memorizing rules. It liberates you to become the writer inside each of us yearning to express himself in his own colorful ways. Writing is no longer painful when that dentist helps you find your confident and unique voice.

I am a semi-retired teacher who has taught elementary through college students, including many remedial students. Most of my career was in high school or college. I can meet you wherever you are in your skills and work with you to attain greater success, whether it be writing, grammar, test preparation, vocabulary, public speaking, or reading. I admire persons working hard to improve themselves and am honored to be part of that process.
