I have over 35 years of bilingualism/translation practical experiences in the colloquial, business and plain street-wise aspects of English/Spanish. Born and raised in Venezuela, I lived there for 25 years (with Spanish as my native language) before moving to the US, where I've lived for the last 35 years and have achieved an expert level of domain of the English language (certified editor). I have a high level of neutrality in Spanish (no local accent or slang preferences), along with vast knowledge of Central American and Caribbean Spanish, South-American Spanish, and Peninsular Spanish nuances, along with and extensive vocabulary. A Systems Engineer by training, I have held many positions in the IT World from programmer to executive, and leadership positions from Supervisor to C-level, with companies like IBM, EDS and American Express. With AmEx, I led technical/business teams developing and supporting their LA/C (Latin American and Caribbean) business units. Lastly, I have taught Spanish to my four daughters who were born here in the US to a German mother.
