I became a teacher as a second career and it happened because I fell in love with working with high school students that were struggling.
Originally an aide, I returned to college and based on my first degree in Anthropology, pursued teaching of Social Studies. I took the Praxis in English and ultimately scored higher in the English subject area! Entrenched in teaching, I continue to look for exciting ways to bring texts and thought alive to my student audience.

Great Inspiration
Loren worked with my 10th grade son to begin a rhetorical essay that he needs to submit as a project. In their initial session, Loren helped him organize the essay structure and build out the outline. She gave him guidance on moving to the next step and will meet with him again in three days to review and give feedback. My son feels confident in his next steps and that he is on the right track!

Loren was incredibly helpful! I was struggling with how to begin and organize my paper. In our first session, we drew up an outline that I followed. She was able to set me on a clear course for writing my paper. In our second session, we reviewed what I had written and made changes. In our third session, she reviewed my completed essay. Then, I was able to submit my paper!
