Dear Parents and Fellow Educators,
My name is Michael M. and I live in Putnam County, New York. I am and extremely hard working and dedicated individual. I attended Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry New York from 2003-2008. During my undergraduate tenure at Mercy I received a dual certification in Education and History. In the summer of 2005 I extended my undergraduate education and studied Special Ed. In September, I plan on furthering my education and attaining another certification in Science.
During my graduate years at Mercy I received a degree in School Building Leadership (S.B.L.). For people who are unfamiliar with the S.B.L. certification, it encompasses a wide variety of administrative responsibilities, such as a Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean of Students or an Athletic Director. At the age of 25 I was the youngest person ever, in Mercy College History to peruse a School Building Leadership degree.
It has been a life long dream to teach children. As long as I can remember I had the desire to teach as well as coach. I studied education and leadership courses in middle school as well as high school. Currently, I coach Ice Hockey and in the Spring I can coach a variety of sports, baseball, softball and fitness (e.g. Weightlifting/Plyo-metrics). I also volunteer as a adolescent personal trainer. In the future, with my S.B.L. degree, I plan on becoming an Athletic Director.
Thank You for Your Time,
