Donnisha L., Psy.D. is passionate about the field of clinical psychology and teaching on the collegiate level. She prides herself on providing the best quality client care and getting to the core of the problem. Dr. L. firmly believes in “working smarter versus harder.” She earned her BA in Psychology (minored in Criminal Justice) from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC in 2003. Dr. L. earned her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology in 2008 from American School of Professional Psychology (Argosy University), DC Campus.
Dr. L. has experience working in these clinical settings: school; community based clinics; state hospital (inpatient); outpatient clinics; in-home; residential; and foster care. Dr. L. has provided individual, family, marital, and group psychotherapy utilizing evidence based approaches. However, Dr. L. finds the most pleasure in conducting psychological evaluations for both children and adults. She has experience teaching for GED programs, technical schools, colleges, and seminaries. Dr. L. loves servicing her community and is eager to build a therapeutic relationship with YOU! Putting the pieces together one session/class at a time.
