Terrific tutor!

Kirsten has been helping my daughter through Algebra II, with great success. My daughter said to me recently, "I really feel like she's better at getting me to understand what we're doing." High praise from a teenager. 😊 And my daughter actually asks that I schedule time with Kirsten, vs. me trying to force her to have some tutoring time. Can't recommend Kirsten enough!

Kirsten helped with limits and sigma notation to describe a definite integral. We broke it down into area of a rectangle = base x height = x f(x). Kirsten worked really hard to help her see why the equations make sense in this many, and I hope it was clear to her. We finished by working on some problems that use the idea of sums and differences of integrals over intervals which make perfect sense when you draw them." I understand Calculus so much better. Calculus tutor, we focused a lot on differentiation and tangent lines. Kristen took the time to take steps back from the calculus math to help solidify the foundational math, which helped greatly with my understanding. She gave simpler examples to harder problems so they were easier to understand.
