Hello, My name is Jill I am currently a Pre-k teacher but I have tutored children up to second grade. I love being around kids it is my passion to teach and help kids achieve their goals. I have been teaching at my current school for two years and before this, I was a daycare director in Vancouver Washington. And before that, I was a preschool teacher and I would work with k-2nd in an afterschool program that offered help with homework that was attached to that school.

I have been teaching since 2015. I have a degree in human development. I have been in charge of several classes in an afterschool program at a private school that I worked for. I was in charge of making sure that students had homework done before pickup. I was in charge of kids k-2nd teaching math, reading, spelling, and writing homework.

I focus a lot on phonics, letter sounds, reading, spelling, educational games, and tools that will help them absorb and keep the information.

Phonics is a staple for learning how to read. Being a PreK teacher we work a lot with letter sounds. I incorporate videos, worksheets, games, and other tools to help students with their phonics skills.

Learning should be fun. If students enjoy their learning process the more they will want to be better students, My goal is always to have a child embrace the type of learner that they are and we will work together to reach their goals.
