About Trisha

Bio

I am a licensed reading teacher and recently earned my Ed.S. degree in Early Literacy and Reading from Nova Southeastern University. I began my teaching career in 1999 as a Kindergarten teacher in Southern California. Throughout the years, I've taught 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade language arts, social studies, and K-5 technology classes.

I am a licensed reading teacher and recently earned my Ed.S. degree in Early Literacy and Reading from Nova Southeastern University. I began my teaching career in 1999 as a Kindergarten teacher in Southern California. Throughout the years, I've taught 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade language arts, social studies, and K-5 technology classes.
I've also taught and tutored reading to preschool through 5th-grade students, including at my own tutoring business. The majority of my experience is helping students with ADD, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities improve their reading skills in order to pass their state exams.
I've taught all of my reading students how to read and have helped students who were struggling with reading reach grade-level success or beyond be prepared for their state exams.
I love teaching reading as it is very rewarding to see students achieve success in their reading skills.
My goal has always been to help my students succeed and my joy is to see them achieve success.

Makes learning fun

My daughter (1st grade) has had a few sessions with Trisha so far and looks forward to them every time. Not only is she learning and gaining confidence, but she's having fun during her tutoring sessions with Trisha! I have seen a big difference in my daughters reading, comprehension, sounding out words and overall confidence since being with Trisha! I would recommend her to anyone looking to improve their Language Arts skills!
