Incredible, best in class

Leslie is an incredible Tutor . Warm, friendly, and clearly highly experienced in teaching to read based on science. My first grader could barely read this summer and 6 months later he is on par with his rest of the class. Leslie is so flexible and presents the material in a really fun and dynamic way. I’m so grateful for Leslie and for helping my my son. I highly recommend her. Thank you again!!!

Due to Covid, our son was falling behind in some of his reading. We started with Miss Leslie before summer started and continued until school started. My son’s teacher was delighted to see that not only did he not have a summer slump, but instead, he made gains over the summer! Leslie has the broad knowledge base and experience we were looking for in a tutor for our 8 year son. However, what makes Leslie an excellent tutor is her ability to sense when he is not fully grasping a concept, when he needs a short break in order to refocus, or a shift in learning material. Her interpersonal skills and ability to relate to her students creates a relationship that is conducive to the learning process. Also, critically important, is the “homework” she gives, specifically targeted to reinforce the introduced concepts. She has encouraged us as well in this process, giving us the tools to help him.
