Bio

HOLA! Yes, I am bilingual. Of my 25 years teaching experience I have taught in a bilingual/bicultural setting for 16 years. Those 16 years have changed the lives of many K-5th graders. This impact has granted me with the honor of Teacher of the Year twice as well as Outstanding Bilingual Teacher twice. Even though English is my first language I am quite fluent in Spanish. HOLA! Yes, I am bilingual. Of my 25 years teaching experience I have taught in a bilingual/bicultural setting for 16 years. Those 16 years have changed the lives of many K-5th graders. This impact has granted me with the honor of Teacher of the Year twice as well as Outstanding Bilingual Teacher twice. Even though English is my first language I am quite fluent in Spanish. I also taught first-year Spanish for one year. With a Bachelor of Arts in English I feel I could enhance the writing skills of your child. My professional development as well as my experience as a Literacy Coach for one year demonstrate my ever growing bank of knowledge in Reading and Writing. In addition to my training I also had a high success rate in New Jersey standardized tests. The difference between mediocre teaching and excellent teaching is the teacher's desire to learn as well. My mantra is winners never quit and quitters never win. I will not allow your child to fail. They must realize that they have the spirit of a winner even if they do learn differently.

I am available as soon as you need me! I am a mother of three children. A senior who is a member of the National Honor Society, a self-taught guitar and piano player as well as an eight-year-old still discovering her interests. In addition to being flexible, I do believe we need to be in constant communication in order to develop a stable and steady routine for your child.

Good Spanish and bilingual teacher

She teaches Spanish to my son. He is in sophomore in high school. My son is enjoying the teaching and improving his vocabulary and able to translate and speaks. Any non speaking Spanish student want to learn Spanish should contact her.

We appreciate Ms. Lissette's tutoring services to our granddaughter. Ms. Lissette puts fun into learning and teaches timeliness in mathematics, neat homework papers and good results to learning. My granddaughter has come a long way in all her studies. Reading, mathematics, science, spelling, Spanish and English, word recognition studies. We no longer are asked by the teacher during rating time to schedule a parent teacher meeting or teacher's conference meeting because of poor grades. Instead, my granddaughter's teachers tells us they are very pleased with the improvement made in all studies. Ms. Lissette is a remarkable teacher who has the "gift" of working with children and provide the tools needed to excel in improved studies.
