Hello! My name is Jamie. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2010 and a Master of Science in Applied Psychology in 2013. Throughout my time as a student I remained at the top of my classes, participated in research, and taught undergraduate psychology courses. Currently, I am pursuing licensure as a psychological associate and hope to help some fellow students with the perils of psychology while I look for a more permanent position.

I have over 3 years of experience teaching psychology, and my passion for the subject, as well as helping others master it, is undeniable. At the core of my teaching values is honesty and determination. To me, teaching is a partnership that must contain these two components to foster a good learning environment. Honesty: There is no need to pretend that we know things we do not, and that includes teacher and student. If there is something I do not know or am unsure about, my policy is to work with the student to learn. I wish for my student to be honest about what they know and do not know. Determination: I cannot learn for the student, but I will do my best to make learning psychology as easy and fun as I know it can be. The student will need to show me that they are just as determined to learn as I am to help them. I am very laid back and I adjust my teaching methods based on how the student learns.
