Hello, my name is Christine and I am a certified elementary school teacher with six years of classroom teaching and tutoring experience. Although I am new to wyzant, I am not new to teaching and can provide many excellent references upon your request.

I hold a multiple-subject teaching credential with a concentration and certification to teach ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT. I am also an accomplished READING SPECIALIST and have extensive experience working with struggling young students. Some of my professional highlights include:

* Helping at-risk or below grade level students become proficient in reading and writing.
* Helping students with special needs including ADD, ADHD, DYSLEXIA, and AUTISM achieve their
academic goals.
* Developing and implementing an English Language Development Program at a title one school.

* Building confidence and helping all students find joy in education.

I am a passionate educator and I know first hand that not all children learn at the same pace or in the same way. Personalized instruction is so valuable and I love being able to use my talents and skills to further help students achieve their academic goals. I am trained and skilled in giving academic assessments, and do so in order to tailor instruction to each student's academic needs. I will work closely with you to ensure that your student is learning to the best of their ability AND having fun while doing so. I use a variety of different instructional materials including interactive technology and hands on activities.
