Hello! I am a secondary English teacher who is dedicated to instructing Black and Brown and underserved youth. My top goal as an educator is to encourage my students to think critically and creatively and to make sure that they take ownership and power over their educational journeys. As a student, scholar, activist, and educator, I recognize that learning is a lifelong process, and I am eager to continue working with middle and high school students to meet their unique educational needs.

I am a graduate of both Swarthmore College (high honors) and PennGSE (4.0 gpa). At Swarthmore I served as both a trained writing and general academic peer tutor. At Penn I completed a full school year of student teaching virtually, and developed a strength for navigating online learning platforms. During my first year as a full-time classroom teacher, a vast majority of my students experienced consistent growth on their STAR Enterprise tests and scored proficient on the PSSA. As a second year teacher, a vast majority of my 7th and 8th grade students continue to demonstrate significant growth on their STAR tests.
