Hey there!
I'm Lae Un (or Leon), and I'm passionate about teaching math. I started tutoring back in high school and kept it up through my college days at UC Berkeley, helping out at the Student Learning Center. After that, I went on to get a Master's in Mathematics at New York University and a Ph.D. in Biomathematics from UCLA.
It's been quite a ride, with plenty of ups and downs, but all that has really shown me how important it is to have different ways of teaching and learning, especially at different levels. I've also taught classes as an instructor on multivariable calculus and dynamical systems at Northwestern University, while I was doing postdoc research in Applied Mathematics.
My main thing is helping students get the hang of Calculus and other tricky upper-level math courses and make tough math topics more approachable and fun. I'm all about giving personalized help that fits your own way of learning. Whether you're gearing up for exams, need help with homework, or just want to strengthen your understanding, I'm here to help you out.
Choosing to work with me means we'll dive into your math skills together and boost your confidence big time. Feel free to hit me up anytime!
