My name is Priti, and I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois, Chicago. I have over 14+ years of experience in teaching mathematics. Some of the subjects in which I have a niche are pre-algebra, algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, trigonometry, and pre-calculus, and most of the honors/advanced courses listed.

Hello!

My name is Priti, and I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois, Chicago. I have over 14+ years of experience in teaching mathematics. Elementary Math is the first basic subject to succeed in a series of higher-level math classes. I would love to develop the student's basic foundation in math with the right approach and using my teaching Technics. I make sure I understand the need of the students and help them with a patient. This way I create a desire to learn math rather than have to learn it. For example, I would teach the basic Multiplication facts by memorizing them in fun musical rhyme. I have taught my own son who is just starting his 2nd grade. I try to make math a fun subject.

I also provide students with additional practice, if needed, on any concepts before tests or finals. I am familiar teaching concepts on a scientific calculator when required by the course. The course evaluates expression using an order of operations known as PEMDAS. Also, it has review of natural numbers, arithmetic operations, integers, fractions, decimals and negative numbers, factorization of natural numbers, problems involving ratios, proportions, percents, measurement, intro to standard Cartesian coordinate plane, and basic geometry problems. I have tutored my students with patience and provided them extra practice when needed for each topics they are struggling with. I make sure that students can enjoy and understand Pre-algebra and make math fun to learn.

I have tutored regular pre-calculus and advance pre-calculus to many high school students. Some of the topics I have worked with are Polar and Rectangular Coordinates, Complex Numbers, Series and Sequences, Probability: Permutation & Combination, probability using Binomial Theorem, Introducing Limits, Introducing Derivatives, and many more topics that come along in pre-calculus.
