About Andrea

Bio

Education is a fundamental tool of life that influences every aspect of life. Since I have several educators in my family, education has been a significant part of my life beyond a four year college degree. Education is a fundamental tool of life that influences every aspect of life. Since I have several educators in my family, education has been a significant part of my life beyond a four year college degree. I have completed the course work for an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. In 2020, I completed the Ed.D. program for Educational Leadership. I have taught in various capacities from pre-Kindergarten to the undergraduate level. For several years, I maintained a tutoring business for reading, writing and basic math.

Children have varied learning styles. Most of my tutoring revolves around the student's style of learning. I utilize interactive computer programs, flash cards, games and other methods to enhance the student's creative and educational ability. The tutoring process works best when a partnership is formed between the parent/parents and the tutor. I will give periodic homework assignments. It is my goal to provide support, encouragement and challenge in the tutoring session.

I offer a free initial consultation. Even though I am flexible with time arrangements, I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Make-up sessions are available.

In order to decrease distractions, I have used the local library closest to the tutoring client. If it is necessary, I am willing to travel to a location that is more convenient for the student. I look forward to our partnership and assisting your student with educational advancement.

I received positive feedback from my girls after their tutoring. She was very patient and kind. I feel confident that Ms. Andrea will get the girls on level to pass the Georgia Milestone test. Ms. Andrea is starting at the basic testing the girls on reading/math to see the areas they need help with versus starting on grade level which great.
