I love helping people! Whether it's learning math, writing, reading, etc. or playing sports, I really enjoy seeing others succeed via my assistance. I try to relate to students in whatever they enjoy and in doing so, apply concepts to our like interests to work through difficult subjects as well as to help foster a good, professional relationship. I have tutored 100s of students in math, science, standardized testing, and English in the past and they have enjoyed resounding success and...

I love helping people! Whether it's learning math, writing, reading, etc. or playing sports, I really enjoy seeing others succeed via my assistance. I try to relate to students in whatever they enjoy and in doing so, apply concepts to our like interests to work through difficult subjects as well as to help foster a good, professional relationship. I have tutored 100s of students in math, science, standardized testing, and English in the past and they have enjoyed resounding success and continue to reach out for my assistance. I look forward to working with and meeting many students and parents while helping them succeed in any way I can. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy playing sports (golf, basketball, softball, volleyball), playing with my dog, and hanging out with my wife. In addition, I work as a meteorologist and oceanographer following my graduation at Penn State University with a BS in Meteorology. Finally, I earned a Master's degree in Physical Oceanography from MIT and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution while researching how hurricanes affect the ocean below.

In science, there is nothing more valuable than relating concepts to idea individuals can grasp. For example, in meteorology, the pressure gradient force is a challenging concept for some, but everyone can relate to squeezing a balloon, where the air wants to move from your hands (high pressure) to the other side of the balloon (lower pressure). Connections like this can make the difference in students' understanding of all concepts, from the basic to the advanced!

I came into finding Stephan through Wyzant.com to learn as much as I can about the ASVAB. He made learning the equations, and understanding the steps very easy. He has his own equations that he can explain with you or you can bring your own from various Apps. He's well rounded and available. I passed my ASVAB with a 35 point boosts because of him!
