I began my journey at Cal Poly Pomona where I showed great promise in my science courses, earning the Dr. Earl Pye Scholarship acknowledging an exceptional chemistry major's academic performance and essay on their journey through chemistry. I also earned the College of Science Scholarship here, and would often tutor classmates on complex science topics covered in class, finding that this teaching reinforced my own knowledge and rewarded me in seeing their success. I transferred to UCSD seeking greater pre-medical opportunities, where I would earn the Roger Tsien Undergraduate Excellence Award through the election of my professors, and the Valspar Scholarship Award, both acknowledging an outstanding chemistry student. Here I continued to tutor my friends and classmates with their chemistry and biology coursework, fueling that same drive to teach.

I graduated from UCSD in 2022 and continued to accrue clinical experience in preparation for medical school. Now that I have earned multiple interviews from medical school, I am interested in picking up where I left off with tutoring chemistry and biology, appreciating the flexible nature of this position and the intellectual rigor offered in few other jobs, as well as the rewarding collaborative nature of the work. I aim to begin tutoring high-school students with their chemistry and biology work, both AP and non-AP, and college-level introductory courses in chemistry and biology. I feel more than capable of delivering quality tutoring to students, and I look forward to meeting my students.
