Bio

I have been a passionate math teacher for over 30 years now. I've taught 8th grade math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Geometry and SAT test prep. Have also run an HTML coding course and am proficient using/creating Excel spreadsheets. Recently retired and now have time to focus one-on-one with students who are striving to excel in mathematics!

Really great energy

So much of making tutoring work is whether the student connects with the tutor or not. I don't expect that connection to happen immediately, but my 16 year old really enjoyed their first session with Tom and there was no doubt in their mind that it would be worth continuing.

Great experience

Tom helped my daughter prepare for an Algebra 2 test. She felt much more confident and prepared after her sessions with him. He was very patient and encouraged her to think through the problems. He was also willing to spend as much time as she wanted the night before the test to help her feel prepared.
