Hello, I’m Chris! I graduated from Michigan State University with a Major in Physical Science and a Minor in Mathematics. I also graduated from their College of Education and received my teaching endorsement for teaching all mathematics and science subjects in Grades 6-12. I started my teaching career by teaching three years at a middle school, teaching students from Grades 6-8. After that, I accepted a position teaching high school students in the same district. Over the next 10 years, I taught Grades 9-12. Specifically, I taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Chemistry, Biology, and Physical Science. While teaching, I went to Eastern Michigan University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. I obtained my Master’s Degree with a 4.0 GPA.

Most recently, I have been the Principal of a school. I spent 7 years as the Principal of a High School with an embedded Early College and currently I serve as the Principal of an elementary school. I love being a school administrator, but I do miss teaching students. In all of my years teaching mathematics and science, I offered my students after-school tutoring as I realize everyone learns differently and sometimes working with them in a smaller setting works best to find the approach that is best for them. This platform will allow me to work one-on-one with students in an effort to find the best strategy for them. If you are interesting in scheduling a lesson, just let me know. I will respond quickly and will always aim to help in the most efficient time possible.

Great tutor

Christopher has been helping my son with Algebra II and my daughter study for the SAT. Both of my children struggle with math. They both like how he takes the time to explain the material and makes sure they understand it. I can tell my son feels more comfortable with his homework and tests.

Excellent Teacher!

My daughter is feeling more confident about the pre-algebra concepts she is supposed to be learning at this time. Chris is patient, clear, and precise. He is able to assess how my daughter learns best and adjusts accordingly.
