I've been teaching math to other students ever since I was in middle school. Throughout my academic and professional life, I have continuously set time aside to help kids understand all sorts of math concepts. Why? Because math is a subject matter that I not only understand and enjoy thoroughly, but one that I am able to adeptly teach. No matter who you are or what your educational level, I am 100% confident that I can bring you clarity in whatever math subject you are studying. I have helped all ages of kids learn arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra 2, precalculus, trigonometry, and calculus. If you are a motivated student shooting for excellence, I want to work with you.

From kindergarten through high school, I attended a private school for the gifted in the midwest. My classmates were extremely bright and very passionate about learning. Despite the stiff competition, I was the top math student in my class throughout my entire primary education. This was partially because I had a natural affinity for math, but also due in large part to my focus and diligent practice. I loved math and I wanted to be the absolute best. Accordingly, I pushed myself harder than anyone else in order to understand the material thoroughly. Because of my careful attention to detail and devotion to understanding mathematics, I cultivated an uncanny ability to convey the concepts in a clear, digestible manner.

I understand what it takes to achieve academic and professional excellence because I have walked the path myself. After high school, I attended the University of Michigan where I majored in computer science and economics. I then worked as a software developer for nearly three years before attending law school at Northwestern University. Because of my soft

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I took Algebra 1 in the seventh grade and was the top performing student in my class (even among 8th graders and 9th graders). I went on to help a number of students with the subject informally during my middle school years, and eventually began tutoring students in the subject both on a pro-bono and professional basis. I love Algebra, and thoroughly enjoy teaching students its mechanics as I consider it to be a key foundational subject in the study of mathematics. I pride myself on my ability to inject my enthusiasm and love for Algebra into each lesson.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I received an "A" in algebra 2 when I took it as a high school freshman. I routinely scored higher than my fellow classmates, even those who were senior to me. I have a deep understanding of the subject matter, and have taught dozens of kids on both a pro-bono and private basis.
Calculus,

Calculus

I received an A in calculus as well as a 5 on the advanced placement test. In college, I took both calculus 3 and 4. I am well versed in the concepts of both derivatives and integrals, and thoroughly enjoying explaining these matters to young students. I often find that people are highly intimidated by calculus. More often than not, however, folks are pleasantly surprised by the logic and clarity of the subject matter.
Geometry,

Geometry

I aced geometry in 8th grade and have been a huge fan of the subject ever since. For my students that don't instinctually mesh with the subject, I have developed a carefully tailored process based methodology to learn and apply the requisite theorems and principles. Geometry is a very important subject, especially since a great deal of SAT and ACT questions are rooted in geometric principles.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

I took pre algebra in sixth grade and received an A+. Since that time, I have helped numerous students understand the subject matter on both a pro-bono and professional basis. I thoroughly enjoy teaching this subject, and fully recognize its importance as a foundational core for algebra, geometry, precalculus, and beyond.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

Precalculus is the subject matter that I have taught the most. It is an area where many students initially struggle, but with the right tutelage, eventually thrive. I have developed a number of carefully tailored techniques to get students zipping through the most challenging of topics, such as logarithmic equations, trigonometric functions, probabilities, and sequences. I personally received an "A" in the subject matter during my sophomore year in high school.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I personally scored an 800 on the NEW SAT math section (May of 2016), and have a full and complete understanding of all the questions types. I have helped dozens of students prepare for the SAT, both on a private basis as well as with Kaplan. My test prep curriculum centers around three basic principles: (1) diligent and timed practice, (2) constant review of problems answered incorrectly, and (3) thorough understanding of all tested concepts. I love helping kids master the SAT, and truly enjoy sharing my expertise. Additionally, I have a top rated video course for the SAT Math section.

Math

ACT Math,

ACT Math

I have a complete understanding of every difficulty type of ACT math question available, and have successfully tutored a number of students for the ACT. My teaching strategy centers around (1) providing a thorough understanding of the tested concepts, (2) encouraging lengthy and regular practice, and (3) offering detailed explanations for any missed or confusing questions.

Trigonometry

I completed trigonometry as part of my precalculus curriculum during my sophomore year. I received an "A" as my overall grade, and have loved the subject matter ever since. I mold my instruction of the subject around the unit circle, which provides an excellent base for understanding the entire breadth of trigonometric functions and their applications.

Amazing Math Tutor and More!

After struggling for a whole year with precalculus, I asked Huzefa for some help. In 3 weeks, we were able to review all of the precalculus and SAT concepts and even went on to calculus studying limits, derivatives, and integrals! I have always struggled to understand these advanced mathematical concepts, but Huzefa explained them in a very clear way. He was always patient whenever I didn't understand something, and his friendly personality made it a lot less pressuring. He is also very organized, and after our first meeting he created a whole schedule of which topics we will study and when. Not only that, he also helped me come up with a brilliant college essay idea based on my own past experiences, and gave me very insightful feedback after I wrote the first draft. I definitely recommend him for any student that needs help with any math subject, the SAT, or the college essay.

The most amazing tutor ever

Huzefa has helped my daughter with all levels of math, from Algebra through AP Statistics. I have also seen how wonderful he is with elementary math students. Kids love him and learn so well through his engaging, patient, and inspiring methods. Snap him up quickly though - as I am sure he is getting super busy!

Great Tutor

Recently I was taking a class that was going to help me place into a higher level math class in college. Huzefa was extremely great at teaching. I was sometimes off and he was patient and would explain everything throughly. I would recommend Huzefa to anyone who wants to have a one and one with a tutor. After taking my math placement test I was able to skip two math levels. Thank you Huzefa.

Thankful for Huzefa

Our daughter's confidence in math was so slow until meeting Huzefa! The instant rapport he had with our daughter was amazing. Huzefa was able to meet her at her level without making her feel insecure about her struggles. He's helping build her math skills while developing strategies for her continued success! Cannot say enough about how thankful we are to have found Huzefa.
