Great Tutor - perfect match for my AP French student!

We hired Sophie to give a little extra practice to our high school senior in the months leading up to the AP French exam. My daughter said that just having Sophie to practice speaking French with helped her in many ways - especially with the oral presentations that were part of her class and exams. Also, as a native French speaker, my daughter immediately trusted her and could tell she was learning from the best. Absolutely, a great experience and Sophie is very patient and kind. Effective And A Great Connection

Sophie taught my 12 year old son for about 9 months, helping him to prepare for exams in the UK. She achieved a great balance ensuring he was engaged and also moving forward with the areas he needed to learn. Consistently consolidating what he had learned, but keeping him on his toes with new information. He enjoyed his lessons so I couldn't ask for much more from a tutor and would happily have continued with her had we not returned to the UK.

Sophie was amazing. She knows the French AP test inside and out, and helped me find my weakest areas of knowledge and we worked on those. The best French tutor!

Sophie is an excellent and possibly the best French tutor! She is always eager to help and never fails to give my daughter feedbacks on how to improve her grammar, pronunciation, and writing. She explains things very well and always has a few grammar books on hand for extra practice. Having Sophie edit my daughter's writing really helped my daughter improve her grammar and writing skills. I would highly recommend Sophie to anyone looking for extra help in French or for those who would like to get ahead in their class!

Great tutor that really made a difference!

Sophie helped my daughter prepare for the new format of the French AP exams and we found her to be an excellent teacher. She had great breadth of knowledge of the French culture, vocabulary, test materials etc and the perfect French accent! She also guided us to useful online materials and several great websites. She was always very responsive to emails and queries and in general great. We would highly recommend her to other French AP students or those taking the French SAT or even just learning French for fun.

My son worked with Sophie to review and prepare for a 200 level college french composition class. She is conscientious and wanted to ensure that he met his learning goals for the time frame she tutored him. She prepares effective and pertinent lessons and teaches them with a multi-modality approach. She explains things well orally and follows them up with clear visual and verbal examples of the material. After each session she emailed recaps of what was covered during the lesson and included links to reinforcement practice homework exercises. My son enjoyed working with her and looked forward to his sessions. Sophie is consistent, clear and responsive in her communications with the student and parent(s).
