Greetings! I am a full-time nursing professor with undergraduate degrees in biology, nursing, and chemistry. I hold my master's degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner. I am actively practicing as a family nurse practitioner with experience in primary care and nephrology. I am enrolled at Indiana University to obtain my PhD in nursing.
Teaching is my passion. The best moment of my day is sharing the knowledge I have learned with my students in a way that makes it easy to understand. I focus on unifying concepts so that learning is more than simple memorization - and infinitely more useful. I use a lot of real-world examples to help related text-book material to actual practice.
At the university level, I have taught undergraduate med-surg nursing, health assessment, pharmacology, ethics, critical care, and fundamentals. Given my two years of PhD education (~30 credit hours), I am also prepared to teach undergraduate research as well. At the graduate level, I have taught family nurse practitioner courses focusing on pathophysiology, diagnostics, and treatment.
I would be thrilled to discuss any nursing related education needs.
I want all of my students to succeed - not just in my classes - but in nursing school, on the NCLEX, and in their future practice. Schedule a lesson today!
