I am a certified math teacher for grades 7-12. I taught high school math for seven years before deciding to stay home with my four children. Before that, I tutored fellow college students who were struggling in their math classes. I love math, I love learning, but most importantly I love being able to help students gain a better understanding of the math content in order to reach their goals.

Since leaving the classroom, I have realized how much I miss working with students and am excited to have the opportunity to use my expertise in the tutoring realm. My goal when tutoring is to provide students with the knowledge and confidence necessary to reach their full potential in mathematics. Math can be difficult, but it can also be fun--sometimes it just takes a little extra push to get there!

While teaching, I had much success teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Trigonometry as evidenced by my students' success rates and standardized test scores. I am comfortable tutoring any math up to and including Precalculus. During the tutoring sessions, I am happy to remediate on topics where you are struggling, review for upcoming tests or assignments, or even work ahead depending on your comfort level.
