I love teaching and seeing children thrive!
I am a recently retired Elementary Teacher. Having 30 years experience in the education field, and majoring in Elementary Education, I have had extensive opportunities to work with all types of learners and children throughout my career. I am especially responsive to the whole child and bringing a positive self-worth to all my students. Through innovative lessons, with a hands-on approach, I have seen much success both in the classroom and on testing. My goals are for my students to leave me knowing themselves as learners and people, being able to self-advocate, know what special gifts each one has, seeing their success as a student, and being kind to others. My greatest reward is watching my children grow, believing in themselves, and becoming all they can be!

Having 30 years of experience in the elementary classroom setting, I am able to help with academic, social emotional needs, executive functioning skills, and any area a child may need help in or extra enrichment. Treating each child as an individual is imperative to me and when I am with my students, they are the only one I am concerned about. Helping children to grow and see success in themselves as well as become self advocates is one of my main goals for each student. My expertise, and loving and caring ways lead to a child becoming more confident and leaving with a smile.

Teaching Math for 30 years, I have been able to find and use many strategies to help students. I also teach that there is more than one way to find the answer and allow the students to show me their best solution. My way of approaching a math problem depends on the learning style of the student.

I love to do experiments, learning from videos, doing many projects, goingh outside to learn, and definitely using STEM in my program.

From a personal point of view, I have a son who is ADHD. I have had many students who had attention issues, and used many strategies to teach with a lot of movement, breaks, consistency, and organizat
