In addition, I lived in Japan an additional year as an English teacher. Finally, I just finished my master of arts in teaching program, with an elementary education focus.

Common Core

I have a lot of experience teaching with common core. When I graduated from my Master of Arts in Teaching program Common Core was already implemented in the state. I have five years of teaching experience using the common core standards. In addition, while student teaching I used the common core standards to create my lesson plans that used more than one standard at a time.

Phonics

I have five years of teaching experience. Most of my teaching experience has been teaching Kindergarten and second grade. Because my experience has been with the lower elementary level I teach a lot of phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension skills. I use fun and engaging strategies for my students to learn phonics such as songs and games. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education.

Nice & patient tutor

My son seemed to have enjoyed his first tutoring session with her. She was on time to the online session and even messaged me to help my son log in as we had some issues. She managed to keep my son engaged for the duration of the session. She had many activities for him.

Patient, knowledgeable and fun

We love our Sundays with Stephanie! We’ve only had a couple of lessons and I can already tell they are having a positive impact on my five-year-old. He is sounding out words on his own and excited to work on his letters. We will definitely be continuing with her.
