My education path has taken me on quite the journey and allowed me to have an extremely diverse education! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Drexel University with a BS in Interior Design, followed by a BS in Fisheries and Wildlife Science and a MS in Integrative Biology. During my MS, I was the sole instructor of four 24-student lab sections, teaching undergraduate students concepts and techniques from statistics, scientific writing, phylogenetics, biodiversity, ecology, and anatomy. On the GRE, I scored in the 91st percentile for Analytical Writing and the 94th percentile for Verbal Reasoning and loved helping my undergraduate students with everything from how to use Excel, to how to even begin writing an essay, to how to make a study plan for a test. I also love working on organizational skills (because I struggled to severely with this growing up!). I am thrilled to help students of all ages and backgrounds!
As someone who spent most of my adolescent life struggling with ADD and behavioral issues in the classroom, I am also extremely open to working with students who struggle to learn in traditional settings. What works for many students can leave some of us sitting there feeling so lost and discouraged. I've been there. Let's come up with creative ways to learn/study the material that doesn't feel discouraging!
