Hi I'm Christina. I am a certified teacher of 20 years. I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors degree in Liberal Studies and received my multiple subject teaching credential and a Master's in teaching. I was hired as an elementary school teacher and served in that capacity teaching 3rd and 4th grade for 8 years. As an elementary school teacher I taught Gate, Special education, and English language learner students. I was grade level lead and was voted teacher of the year in 2008 for my district. At the elementary school level I offered after school tutoring for students twice a week in which the focus was on reading and writing workshops.

In 2010 I transferred to middle school where I taught 8th grade English Language Arts, History, and English Language Development elective for 12 years. At the middle school level I was department chair lead for ELD, part of the instructional leadership team, and the after school culinary club advisor. In 2017 I was offered an opportunity to be an English Language Development coach for our district which allowed me to help support teachers and students, while still teaching my own classes at the middle school. In middle school I offered tutoring sessions for English Language Arts and History twice a week after school and during lunch. Tutoring sessions would include study sessions, writing workshops, and reading support. My focus was to provide small group instruction to help clarify, support, and breakdown the information needed to successfully complete the assignment and/or prepare for an assessment.

Currently I am an administrator for a middle school. I would like to provide students with the support, tools and resources needed to be successful in any academic setting.
