About Aileen

Bio

I have tutored students from ages 9-17 as well as college students. The students I have tutored come from a broad range of backgrounds, including learning disabled and students that have missed a significant amount of school due to medical issues. In addition, I have taught biology for freshmen biology majors as well as non-majors. I have tutored in groups as well as one on one. I have also taught classes as large as 30 students.

I have tutored students from ages 9-17 as well as college students. The students I have tutored come from a broad range of backgrounds, including learning disabled and students that have missed a significant amount of school due to medical issues. In addition, I have taught biology for freshmen biology majors as well as non-majors. I have tutored in groups as well as one on one. I have also taught classes as large as 30 students.
I am a published scientist with lots of different interests, including teaching! I love interacting with students and feel that any student can succeed once given the right tools and skills. I like to meet with the student at least 2x a week in a quiet location, such as the library. Also, I give discounts for group tutoring (2 students or more). I am flexible in my tutoring style (practice problems, games, study aids, etc) and try to tailor each session to meet the students needs.
