I have loved math all my life and I took lots of it in school. I even attended math contests and I learned much more math in Electrical Engineering. Now I enjoy the opportunity to help others with their math and electronics. I have been tutoring for more than twelve years and I really enjoy helping the students. I work with students in middle school, high school and college level math. My daytime job is tutoring college students in math and electronics. I don't just give out the answers...

Now I enjoy the opportunity to help others with their math and electronics. I have been tutoring for more than twelve years and I really enjoy helping the students. I work with students in middle school, high school and college level math. My daytime job is tutoring college students in math and electronics. I don't just give out the answers but I help the student with the methods to find the answers. I can help with algebra I & II, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, math I, II and III, and electronics. Just send me a message if you have any questions.

Homeschool

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

Algebra has always been my favorite math subject. When I was in high school I went to statewide math contests for two years and placed in the top ten both times. This algebra deals mostly with linear functions.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is a more advanced, more complex version of algebra 1. Here we get more involved with non-linear functions as well as imaginary and complex numbers. As an engineer and as a college level tutor, I have worked with algebra 2 type functions and problems for many years.
Calculus,

Calculus

For more than 10 years I have tutored college students in calculus and algebra to help them pass their classes. I have an electrical engineering background in which calculus is used, not just taught. Calculus is mostly the study of curved functions in which calculus is used to find the slope of the curve at any given point or used to find the area under the curve. It has practical applications in many areas of engineering and areas of science such as physics.
Geometry,

Geometry

Geometry is all about shapes and most of these shapes can be broken down into triangles. "Triangles are your friend", I tell my students. Learn everything you can about triangles and it will be very helpful to you. When I was in high school I went to statewide math contests in algebra and geometry for two years and placed in the top ten both times.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

I am very well qualified to tutor pre algebra because I have been tutoring math from 4th grade level to college level now for more than seven years. I have worked with many students helping them to improve their grades. I really enjoy math and enjoy working with math students one-on-one.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

I have worked with many college level students in Precalculus who did not understand it in high school. I show them how to convert between degrees and radians, how to find various trig and inverse trig functions and how to relate their studies to the real world. This is not just math, it's a tool for you to use in your career if it requires it.
SAT Math

SAT Math

SAT math is an intense test to see how your math abilities stack up against other students throughout the nation. I scored in the ninety five percentile on the SAT math. I have a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology where I studied and applied lots of math. I also have more than nine years of experience tutoring various levels of math.

I have worked with electronics from the age of 14 when I got a job in a TV repair shop. Since then I have worked with video and audio equipment in the Air Force, and later at commercial video equipment installation and repair. I later became Engineering Supervisor for a major television station and then later, Chief Engineer of another television station. I have also tutored electronics students at a local college for about six years, helping them understand how to use the math they have learned with the electronics formulas and how to construct, test and analyze circuits

Trigonometry

I have been working with college level trig students for several years, I have a rich, deep understanding of the subject. Much of my engineering background involved trig as well. Not only do I tutor Trigonometry, I also enjoy it. I love math.

Test Preparation

ASVAB,

ASVAB

Applicants to the military take this test. It helps determine if they will accept you in the military and also your scores in various areas of the test help you to qualify for certain types of jobs within the military. I only focus on the math portion of the test, which by the way, is the more difficult part for many people. I am former military and an Electrical Engineer. I studied lots of math and have been tutoring math for high school and college students now for more than 12 years. Several people have come to me for help after not doing well on the test. I can give you the big picture of what they want where the math is concerned.

Praxis

I am qualified to tutor the math portion of the Praxis, or in Georgia the GACE. I have taken and passed the PRAXIS for math. I have also been tutoring math for about 7 years now, for students from the 4th grade to college level. I have, in fact, tutored adults aspiring to become teachers, for the PRAXIS exam. I did this tutoring through a different tutoring company. Three major items that qualify me: I have passed the PRAXIS exam myself, I have tutored math for about 7 years, and my career was in broadcast engineering where I studied and used lots of math.

Great tutor! We have gotten immediate results.

My son took precalculus this year. He started to work with Jerome at the end of September, at which time my son had a 65 for an overall grade. Immediately after my son started to work with Jerome we saw vast improvements. My son scored a 90 on his mid-term,and finished the semester with an 88 overall grade. And is doing very well this semester also, under Jerome's tutoring. Jerome produces immediate results, as he identifies the problem areas and has the experience and knowledge to lead the student through those areas. He is always on time, and he has a genuine desire to help the student. Thanks Jerome!

Calm and knowledgeable

My daughter had a great trial class with Jerome. He is a calm, patient and very knowledgeable tutor. That was her first one to one class for a long time, and I really appreciate that Jerome helped her not to fear of what was forgotten, but to focus on step by step progress.

Excellent Tutor!

Algebra 2 can be complex but Jerome made it easy to understand for my Grandson. Jerome was very patient, knowledgeable and easy to understand direction making Algebra 2 not so hard as long as you put in the work & effort. Thank you Jerome!

Awesome!!!

My twin daughters have nothing but great things to say about this tutor. I have seen an immediate increase in their grade after only a few sessions.

Excellent feedback!

We met and worked with Jerome today for the first time and the session with our daughter went excellent. She felt more confident and clearer on the calculus material they covered. He was very thorough and provided excellent feedback and suggestions.

Very patient with my son

My son has been struggling to understand Precalculus. Jerome has explained things to him, that his teachers have yet to do. This was his first lesson and he looks forward to continue working with Jerome, so he could achieve better grades in math. My son said Jerome is better than any math teacher he has ever had in High School.

Dove right into what I needed to review for exam. On time.

Easier way to find the Least Common Denominator. And that a coefficient number in front of an 'x' means to multiple. Combining like terms. When 1st no., is a + (positive no.) no sign is needed; only when - (negative).

T, 2 lessons with Jerome

Knowledgeable in electrical engineering

We went over a simple RLC circuit and he did a really good job of explaining resonant frequencies in layman’s terms. This made understanding the mechanics of the circuits simpler.

Jordan, 13 lessons with Jerome

Very good tutor! We made the right choice

My daughter has been using him for a few weeks. Her grade has gone from an F to a B. She feels way more confident when taking tests and even the teacher has noted that she is not as confused in class as she used to be. We plan to continue these sessions for the rest of the year. Very pleased with the results.
