Bio

I love math. I love teaching it. I have thousands of hours of tutoring on Wyzant, and 20+ years before Wyzant was a thing.

My first math lesson that I taught was when I was 5. My neighbor, still in diapers, kept skipping 4 when counting from 1 to 10. I worked with him until he could get all 10 numbers in a row, and match them up with his fingers.

My students drastically improve under my tutelage, generally seeing a two grade level improvement (F to C, C to A, for example), and all...

Exactly the tutor I was looking for.

KJ is excellent. I worked with him numerous times before several college-level statistics exams, and he is so easy to speak to and learn from. My grades have jumped since I began working with him, and he makes statistics so incredibly easy to comprehend. Not only did he teach me how to go about solving problems in better ways (that my professor hadn't even mentioned), but he also took the time to extensively clarify and explain concepts before introducing complex formulas. With his help I'm a better student with more potential for success.

Super insightful, great instruction

My son is in Calc AB at high school. He needed a last minute review prior to a test the next day. So we found KJP. We were so lucky to have found him. My son raved about how well the instructor explained new information and helped him to grasp some of the concepts taught in class but not completely mastered. We will definitely ask KJP for help in the future. He was a fantastic find. Thank you!

Makes hard concepts simple!

K.J. jumped right in and started helping me break down my difficult probability problem into simple solutions. He was straightforward, took care to go at just the right speed for me, and ultimately taught me twice as much as I had hoped in half the time. AMAZING tutor! I used some of what he taught me the VERY NEXT DAY to solve a very difficult homework problem. Thank you!!

Knowledgeable and really helpful

K.J. was very helpful and patient with me. I sent him my project ahead of time and he came prepared to help me complete the assignment. Still waiting on my grade but I don’t think I could have finished it without him.
